Blogger is a free blogging service by Google and hosted by them with subdomain .blospot.com (for example www.techtunity.blogspot.com) and the blogger can also host on the registered custom domain from third party or google as well. The custom domain is one most important thing for website ranking and it help to optimize our website and reach to SEO. Here we dialog about to how to use a third party custom domain in Google Blogger.
Blogger Set up
Follow the steps to complete the adding of custom domain to Blogger
Sign up to your Blogger
Go to Blogger dashboard
Select a blog that to use the custom domain
Go to settings option > Basic > Publishing
The type your custom domain name in the third party domain settings (type your domain carefully and ensure there is no mistake).
Then save the domain and there will appear CNAMEs code and copy to your DNS management > records.
DNS Management
On the DNS management, you can see a record such as Type A, Name @, Value parked; if there such record, remove it or delete and add the CNAMEs codes to DNS management that can see on your Blogger setting after adding the custom domain to your Blogger.
Then, edit the first CNAME; on the Type column www, on the Host column paste codes from your blogger such as ghs.google.com as it direct row to www column in the Blogger.
Then edit second CNAME and past on the Host column form Blogger as it shows in the blogger for second CNAME or button of “www” and point to also from Blogger.
Then add the these 4 A record which point to Google IPs
Then add these records to DNS Management records here
Type as “A”, Name/ label/ host as “@”, Destination/ target/ Address/ Point to as
These records are available at Google Blogger support page or can direct from form blogger setting by clicking on “setting instruction” link.
After completing all above steps, go to your Blogger setting, then save your domain. Now you can see an option on blog address as “edit” and click on them. Then enable redirect to your domain and save again. Now you are set and fix naked domain redirect.
After completing these all above step, you need to wait five or ten minutes and then your domain will be available for your blog.
